For conducting classes and independent training of cadets (students), the existing educational and material base of the department is widely used, the main elements of which are about 30 samples of automotive equipment for various purposes, educational and laboratory facilities (laboratory equipment, measuring and computer equipment, technical means of training and control, visual aids), specialized classes and other educational and auxiliary facilities, field training base of the training center, textbooks and manuals, educational films, scientific and reference books. Among the objects of the training and material base, the following should be highlighted:

hot adjustment class for internal combustion engines, designed to develop cadets' practical skills in carrying out basic operational adjustments of YamZ-238, KamAZ-740, ZIL-130, ZMZ-66 engines and troubleshooting of gasoline engine ignition systems and diesel engine starting systems;

a laboratory for repairing engines and units of military vehicles designed to develop cadets' practical skills in repairing the main units of automotive vehicles (engines, axles, transmissions, couplers, etc.)

an electrical equipment repair laboratory designed to consolidate knowledge of the structure and develop cadets' practical skills in repairing sources and consumers of electrical energy in automotive equipment using specialized equipment (GS3105, SPZ-12, E-240, E-236, etc.);

a pavilion of automotive equipment designed to conduct practical training with cadets to study the structure of samples of multipurpose vehicles, tracked tractors and mobile vehicles for maintenance, repair and evacuation of automotive equipment. A special feature of the pavilion is that it has both a model and, accordingly, the separate components and assemblies that make up the model, which ensures high-quality learning of the training material.

The peculiarity of using mobile maintenance and repair vehicles is that they are connected to an industrial power grid, which makes it possible to use the equipment while preserving the model's motor life during practical training. During practical training, cadets (students) study the equipment, the procedure for deploying posts, the use of workshops in the field, etc.
