Cadets' research is an integral part of the scientific work, which is closely related to the educational process and is carried out to deepen knowledge in academic disciplines, to gain skills in research and analytical activities. The scientific societies include cadets who conduct their own research, participate in research competitions, unit innovation work, conferences, seminars and other scientific events.

More than 60 applications for rationalization proposals are submitted annually to the Commission for Patent Licensing, Invention and Rationalization, most of which are recognized as rationalization and implemented in the educational process and daily activities of the educational institution.
Inventors and innovators of the Academy are actively involved in the creation of technological and technical solutions that meet the conditions of patentability, are new and useful. The results of such activities in the form of applications for state registration of inventions and utility models are submitted annually to the state organization “Ukrainian National Office of Intellectual Property and Innovations”.
