Gender mainstreaming in all components of the daily activities and educational process of the Hetman Petro Sahaidachnyi National Army Academy is a priority for all personnel of the educational institution. 

Training of military specialists for the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine at the National Academy is carried out in compliance with the basic principles, target groups, strategic goals and objectives of the state policy on ensuring equal rights and opportunities for women and men. 

Since 2019, the National Academy has ensured equal access for women and men to enroll in all specialties and specializations of training, integrated a gender component into the curriculum of the educational process, provided equal opportunities for career development, and women servicemen, on an equal footing with men, have the opportunity to study at the third level of higher education in postgraduate studies and obtain a doctorate in doctoral studies, study in courses of the system of professional military education, retraining and promotion. 

In order to provide opportunities for the systematic acquisition of knowledge and skills necessary to fulfill the tasks of the Women, Peace and Security agenda, in accordance with UN and NATO standards, the National Academy provides training and professional development for the management, teaching and research staff of the National Academy, holds scientific events (conferences, seminars, round tables), publishes scientific papers on gender issues, exchanges experience with other higher education institutions of the country, etc.
