The department pays considerable attention to scientific and technical activities, namely, the participation of research and development staff in research and development, inventive and rationalization work, preparation and holding of scientific conferences and seminars, development of textbooks, scientific articles, work of the military scientific society of cadets, preparation of reviews of scientific papers. A special place is given to the training of highly qualified research and teaching staff and the introduction of the latest scientific achievements into the educational process. Among the scientific and pedagogical staff of the department there are 6 PhDs.
The main efforts of scientific and scientific-technical activities at the department are aimed at the following areas of activity
- development of military education, military science and personnel policy;
- development of forms and methods of employment of troops;
- scientific support for the development and implementation of standards;
- development of weapons and military equipment;
- operation of weapons and military equipment;
- military art, use of units and subdivisions in the course of measures to ensure national security and defense, deterrence and repulsion of large-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation; xml-ph-0005@de
The Department actively supports the Military Scientific Society of Cadets, whose activities are organized and carried out in close connection with educational and training work, which ensures the formation of highly qualified specialists for the Army. The club's work is aimed at developing the cadets' creative potential and shaping their skills and abilities to independently organize and conduct research. The research conducted by the cadets under the guidance of the teaching staff is used in the educational process of the department during classes.
