A methodological work of the department is based on scientific research and advanced pedagogical experience. It is directed to professional competence improvement of pedagogical workers and effectiveness increase in educational and pedagogical process. The main forms of the department methodological work are: - to hold educational and methodological meetings, scientific and methodological conferences and seminars; - to hold department meetings on methods of teaching and education of cadets; - to conduct methodological, demonstrative, open and experimental lessons; - elaboration and improvement of educational and methodological materials, testing programs fund and material and technical supply of educational process; - pedagogical experiments realization and usage of the results in educational and pedagogical process; Department workers develop and publish a lot of textbooks and manuals such as: «Shooting Drills» recommended by Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, «Basic school and methodology of accurate firing training from small arms», «Tank T-64BV and T-64BM «Bulat», «Construction and arm exploitation» etc.
