The main efforts of the teaching staff are aimed at introducing new information technologies into the educational process. During the classes, the main form of which is situational learning, the educational films, test programs for controlling the acquired knowledge, situational cards, multimedia presentations and other methodological support developed by the academic staff are widely used.

The problem-based approach to teaching is widely used, which ensures the formation of intelligence and creative abilities of students, and enables them to gain deep fundamental knowledge. At the department, the disciplines of Combat Vehicle Driving and Automotive Technology (including Automotive Training) are taught in specialized classrooms that meet modern requirements and make it possible to maximize the use of the educational and material base at the permanent deployment point and prepare cadets for exercises on vehicles.

The main focus of the educational work is to instill in-depth knowledge and practical skills in driving armored and automotive vehicles, and to develop technical training standards in the relevant areas of cadet training. An important place among the disciplines taught at the department is the discipline Automotive Engineering (including Automotive Training). The result of studying this discipline is the possibility of obtaining a certificate for the right to drive a vehicle of categories “B” and “C”.
