The Department's educational and material base is a complex of educational and training facilities, technical training aids, equipment, buildings, structures, specialized classrooms, specialized areas of the terrain that meet the requirements of modern technologies and teaching methods and ensure the training of cadets in accordance with curricula and programs. The main elements of the department's educational and material base are: a training complex; a tank training ground; a driving range; a light water training complex.

The training complex is designed for theoretical and practical classes in the disciplines of the department. It is equipped with halls with complex dynamic simulators T-64B and BMP-2; a hall with an automobile simulator complex ATK-3UE; specialized classes for theoretical classes and classes for programmed learning; premises of the general infrastructure of the department (teaching, study room, etc.). The tank and driving ranges provide training and improvement of personnel's skills in driving combat vehicles and cars. They provide a set of preparatory and training driving exercises during the day and at night, and the fulfillment of standards.

The light water diving complex is designed to instill knowledge and skills in self-rescue in emergency situations while driving tanks underwater, using insulating gas masks.
