The Department of Armored Vehicles is a basic structural subdivision of the Faculty of Combat Use of Forces and occupies an important place in the system of training military specialists in the specialty “Management of Army Units” in the specializations “Management of Mechanized Forces Units” and “Management of Tank Forces Units”. The department also participates in the training of military specialists in the specialties “Educational and social-psychological work in units, on ships” and “Management of missile and artillery units” with a specialization in “Management of artillery units”.
The department has a modern material and technical base that allows for high-quality training of cadets in the following disciplines:
“Structure of armored vehicles”,
“Operation of armored vehicles”,
“Fundamentals of Armored Vehicle Repair,
“Structure and Operation of Basic Vehicles.
The main task of the department is to train military management specialists who have knowledge of the structure of armored weapons and equipment, the procedure for organizing its proper operation and maintenance. This knowledge is the basis for the formation of the necessary qualities of cadets and ensures their preparation for independent professional activity.
The department maintains close cooperation with structural units of other higher military educational institutions and research institutions.
