The scientific work of the department is aimed at conducting research on the state and assessment of the prospects for the development of weapons of the reconnaissance artillery units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, studying the experience of troops during the Russian-Ukrainian war, military-technical support for the creation and modernization of modern and advanced artillery reconnaissance means. The scientific potential of the department consists of 6 candidates of sciences, five of them have the academic rank of associate professor, one - senior researcher. The department has a club of the military scientific society, whose cadets are constantly taking an active part in seminars, conferences and competitions of scientific works of cadets (students), where they have repeatedly won prizes.
