Since 1995, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have been participating in various peacekeeping operations around the world, which enabled Ukraine to become a partner of the Partnership for Peace program in 1997. With the increasing number of Ukrainian Armed Forces personnel involved in peacekeeping operations, there was a need to create a training center for high-quality training of personnel. To this end, on the basis of the Directive of the Commander of the Western Operational Command of 16.11.2001 and the Directive of the Minister of Defense of Ukraine of 1.11.2001 D-115/1/0307, the Partnership for Peace Training Center was established when the 232nd Combined Arms Training Ground of the 1st category of the Western Operational Command was transferred to the staff of the 7/099-51. The decisive factor for this decision was that the training ground is located near the border and has a well-developed infrastructure.

  • conduct computer-based command and control and joint exercises;
  • conduct training courses (classes, meetings): training platoon and company instructors for units planned to participate in peacekeeping operations (PKOs);
