The methodological activity of the Department of Military History is focused on:
- participation in educational and methodological (methodological) meetings, conferences, scientific and methodological conferences and seminars;
- holding meetings of the department to consider the issues of methods of teaching and upbringing of cadets, students, students, adjuncts;
- conducting instructional and methodological, demonstration, open and trial classes;
- conducting lectures, presentations, reports on teaching methods, general and military pedagogy and psychology;
- developing and improving teaching and learning materials, improving the material and technical (logistical) support of the educational process;
- conducting pedagogical (methodological) experiments and implementing their results in the educational process, studying and implementing the requirements of guiding documents, best pedagogical practices and experience of combat training of troops (forces) in the educational process;
- developing proposals for improving educational and professional, educational and scientific programs for training of military specialists, requirements for the system of quality assurance of higher education (if any), curricula, programs (work programs) of academic disciplines;
- development of scientifically based recommendations for planning the work of research and teaching staff, cadets, students, and undergraduates;
- preparation and publication of textbooks, manuals, methodological developments, recommendations, guidelines for course and qualification works and projects, as well as preparation and publication of other educational literature, development of teaching aids and educational equipment in the profile of the department;
- development of criteria for assessing the knowledge and skills of cadets (students), preparation of questions and tickets for exams and tests, quizzes and papers, tasks for annual monitoring of the level of knowledge of students in the relevant educational programs, test tasks, etc.;
- development and implementation of new technical teaching aids and visual equipment in the educational process;
- development of programs and work programs of the department's disciplines;
- mutual and control visits to classes.
