
The staff of the Tactics Department pays special attention to:
- to develop in cadets a high motivation and a strong desire to learn the military profession and to apply the knowledge and skills gained in the army;
- maintaining a proper moral and psychological state, loyalty to the military oath and military duty, creating social and humanitarian conditions for the effective performance of assigned tasks;
- training officers capable of confidently acting in a difficult situation, creating and maintaining an atmosphere of socially important moral and ethical relations in military teams;

introducing into the process of training military specialists the experience of anti-terrorist operations, combat operations and international peace and security operations, as well as advanced methods of training the armed forces of NATO member states.
To this end, the pedagogical council and curators of study groups work to improve the quality of training and education of future military professionals, to ensure that cadets actively master their academic subjects, to strengthen military discipline in the unit and to unite the military team, and to maintain a healthy moral and psychological climate.
Officers of the Tactics Department carry out their activities by studying the personality of the future officer both during the educational process in the classroom and in the field, and outside of class time.
Supervisory officers regularly participate in summarizing the results of the training course and general meetings of the unit, conduct conversations with cadets on topics that they need to develop their professional competencies, create moral, psychological and organizational conditions for self-development of subordinates, and foster cultural and spiritual values of servicemen..
Considerable attention is paid to the prompt coverage of the military-political situation in the country, decisions of the leadership of the state and the Armed Forces of Ukraine on countering modern challenges and threats through daily command briefings by the academic staff of the departments.
Considerable attention is paid to the military-patriotic education of the personnel through propaganda and coverage of the heroic deeds of officers - graduates of the department, faculty and the National Academy in general. The patriotic education of cadets is facilitated by meetings with military personnel and academic staff - participants of the ATO (JFO) and the Russian-Ukrainian war.
