The methodological support of the educational process is permanent and stems from the real problems that arise in the pedagogical activity and life of the military team.

The department's academic staff adheres to the system of training military specialists in accordance with educational and professional programs, structural and logical schemes, and class schedules.

The formation of curricula and the distribution of educational material of the disciplines of the department fully and comprehensively take into account the requirements of modern conditions and prospects for the development of the Army of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In the work programs of academic disciplines and curricula, the share of practical classes has been increased, which has fully justified itself and improved the quality of knowledge and skills acquired by cadets.

The staff of the department is working hard to expand and improve the department's information and methodological support. The main steps in this work include:
 - introduction and active use of modern training methods (simulation systems, interactive multimedia training in unit tactics, field training with a laser firing simulator);
 - saturation of the Department's webpage with high-quality teaching materials in all disciplines of the Department;
 - creation of a database of training and control tests in all disciplines of the department; creation of a database (fund) of teaching and methodological materials developed by various research and teaching staff (in order to analyze and summarize methodological experience and form a single concept of presentation of the material).

All the teachers of the department have extensive life and professional experience, which, combined with their use of the latest methodological approaches, modern electronic learning tools and interactive work with the audience, forms the high knowledge of the cadets.

The academic staff of the Department of Tactics systematically uses computer programs in the educational process, namely the METECOL test program (in the disciplines of tactics, UDMP, UDTP, which helps to more effectively master the curriculum and assess the knowledge of cadets. The academic staff of the department regularly organizes and conducts demonstration and open classes attended by representatives of the leadership of the National Academy and colleagues from other faculties and departments. Based on the results of the above-mentioned classes, 100% of the academic staff were evaluated positively. They proved their high methodological skills and perfect mastery of the educational material. Today, the department's academic staff is successfully working on solving the methodological problem of creating conditions for the comprehensive development of the cadet as a person, acquiring the competencies necessary for the officer position, and self-realization in the system of education in a higher military institution.
