The methodological work at the Department is aimed at improving the methodological skills of teachers, creating textbooks, lecture courses, and methodological materials in the disciplines of the Department, improving the scientific, methodological, and organizational level of practical classes, and applying new forms and methods of their conduct. To this end, during the academic year, the Department regularly holds demonstration and open classes, and monitors the effectiveness of classes by the management of the National Academy, the Faculty, and the leading scientific and pedagogical staff of the Department. Another form of the department's methodological work is the department's meetings, where teachers discuss topical issues related to the department's work plan for the academic year, as well as current problems of the educational process. A special place in the methodological work is given to holding scientific and methodological seminars, where teachers discuss the most pressing issues of teaching methods at the department, taking into account the requirements for training officers for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In particular, close ties are maintained with the commanders of units and subdivisions of the engineering troops, and continuous bilateral communication with former graduates, primarily those serving in the ATO and OOC area.
