The department actively introduces innovative technologies in the field of forms and methods of teaching, based on the widespread use of computer technology and TEK. The main efforts of the teaching staff are aimed at mastering new information technologies based on the widespread use of video and computer equipment, television systems, and other modern means of transmitting and processing information. The problem-based approach to teaching is widely used, which ensures the development of students' intelligence and creative abilities, and enables them to gain deep fundamental knowledge. Cadets consolidate their theoretical knowledge in practical classes, which are conducted in the field with the use of weapons, military equipment and the deployment of workshops for the repair and maintenance of weapons. The department's auxiliary staff is responsible for preparing technical and visual teaching aids, rocket and artillery weapons used in classes, personnel assigned to operate them, and ensuring that cadets comply with safety measures when working on equipment and conducting practical exercises.
