It plays an important role in teaching fundamental natural and scientific and technical disciplines at the Hetman Petro Sahaidachnyi National Army Academy. The department's activities are aimed at training high-level military specialists and conducting advanced scientific research. The department is a graduating (profiling) department in the field of knowledge 14 - “Electrical Engineering” and trains bachelors and masters. The form of study is full-time, part-time and distance learning. The term of study for bachelors is four years, for specialists and masters - one year. In terms of its scientific and pedagogical potential, the department is one of the most powerful departments in the Academy. The educational, scientific and educational work of the cadets is provided by the highly qualified staff of the department, which includes 41 people. More than 75% of the department's academic staff are teachers with academic degrees and academic titles. The teaching staff of the department consists of 24 people, including: 3 Doctors of Technical Sciences, 2 Doctors of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, 8 Candidates of Technical Sciences, 5 Candidates of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, 1 Candidate of Chemical Sciences, 1 Candidate of Biological Sciences, including 3 professors, 8 associate professors, and 1 senior researcher. One of the priorities of the department's educational work is the use of information technologies and computer equipment in the course of training, as well as the introduction of innovative technologies in the educational process. This is facilitated by a highly developed educational and material base, which is constantly expanding and replenished with modern equipment and new devices. During its existence, the department has created 8 specialized laboratories, filled mainly with self-made specialized technical systems, 3 computer centers equipped with modern computers, multimedia projectors and interactive electronic whiteboards, and 2 classrooms, the information and technical equipment of which allows cadets to fully master their educational tasks. The educational process at the department is provided by more than 80 sets of computers and two information networks: an educational local area network and the global Internet. The staff of the department looks to the future with confidence and makes every effort to ensure that the scientific level and pedagogical skills of the department's staff are constantly growing, and most importantly, that the Academy's cadets who are trained at the department fully receive and fully master the most powerful weapon - modern fundamental, versatile and deep knowledge.
