The main organizer of the tournament was the Hetman Petro Sahaidachnyi National Army Academy, and about one hundred and fifty participants took part in the tournament.
The opening of the championship was attended by the Head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration Maksym Kozytskyi, other representatives of the authorities and local governments of Lviv and Lviv region, military athletes, and representatives of professional Ukrainian boxing, who welcomed the athletes ready to compete for the title of champion.
"I am sincerely grateful for the support and assistance in organizing this sporting event to the Head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration Maksym Kozytskyi, under whose patronage the tournament is held, as well as to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Department of Youth and Sports of the Lviv Regional State Administration, the Lviv Sports Department of the Lviv City Council, the Boxing Federation of Ukraine, in particular its regional and city branches," said Lieutenant General Pavlo Tkachuk, Commandant of the National Academy, in his opening remarks. - "This championship is not just a competition, but also an important milestone in the education of physically and morally hardened defenders of Ukraine, including future officers. I wish the participants to show true sportsmanship and perseverance!"
