The Academy's library is an integral part, a kind of spiritual treasure trove and information base of the military educational institution. The main task of the library is to facilitate the educational process and scientific research, to ensure the preservation and replenishment of library funds, their comprehensive disclosure and accessibility. We provide information and library and bibliographic services to the Academy's cadets, officers, faculty, military personnel and employees of structural units, both in the Academy's library and in the library of the military camp No. 13.
A modern library is an information and reference center on traditional and electronic media. The automation of librarians' workplaces and the introduction of the automated information and library system “FDL/Library” have become a practical implementation of the improvement of the library service level.
Over 3 thousand visitors use the services of our library annually, and more than 190 thousand copies of documents are issued to them.
For the convenience of users, we have the Electronic Catalog of Books database, which contains more than 163 thousand document records, and the Electronic Article File, which contains more than 7 thousand full-text articles of periodicals. This information is available on the Academy's local network.
The local computer network unites more than 400 computers of the Academy, 25 of which are provided to users for Internet access in two reading rooms of the library. The library offers Wi-Fi, access to electronic databases, 85 titles of magazines and newspapers, e-books, and a library page on the Academy's website, where you can view virtual book exhibitions.
The library staff is constantly preparing events dedicated to historical figures and events. The list of virtual book exhibitions on the Academy's website includes thematic publications and scientific articles that contribute to in-depth learning.
Employees are working to further introduce electronic technologies, which makes it possible to expand the repertoire of services and improve their quality.
