General provisions

The Regulations on the Institute of Moral and Psychological Support of the National Army Academy named after Hetman Petro Sahaidachnyi (hereinafter - the Regulations) are developed in accordance with the Laws of Ukraine “On Education”, “On Higher Education”, Orders of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine dated 20.06.2003 No. 400/192 “On Approval of the Regulations on Military Training Units of Higher Education Institutions”, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine dated 13.04.2005 No. 221/217 “On Approval of the Instruction on Organization of Education and Psychological Support of the National Army Academy” No. 155/291 of May 8, 2002, as amended by Order No. 99/116 of February 21, 2006 “On Approval of the Instruction on Planning and Accounting for the Activities of Scientific and Pedagogical (Pedagogical) Employees of Higher Military Educational Institutions (Military Educational Units of Higher Educational Institutions), Training Centers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine”, and the Charter of the National Academy of the Land Forces.

Main tasks and functions of the Institute of Moral and Psychological Support

1.1. The main tasks of the institute of moral and psychological support are:

  • continuous improvement of the quality of cadets' training through the implementation of advanced technologies, forms and methods of education and upbringing, intensification of cognitive, scientific and military activities;
  • comprehensive development of cadets, formation of universal values, high military professional and moral and psychological qualities, responsibility for their actions and deeds, ensuring high combat and mobilization readiness;
  • introducing into the educational process the modern experience of combat operations during the anti-terrorist operation by units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and leading countries in local wars and armed conflicts, and their combat training for assigned tasks;
  • Conducting advanced training courses for officers on moral and psychological support and management of daily activities of units, including the basics of military management;
  • instilling in cadets a sense of duty and readiness to defend the homeland;
  • maintaining high professional training of permanent personnel, improving their methodological skills;
  • conducting events on scientific and scientific-technical activities, with the involvement of scientific and pedagogical staff, engineering, technical, educational and auxiliary staff and personnel of cadet units;
  • organization of methodological activities at the departments, implementation of advanced pedagogical experience, modern teaching methods, computer technologies, technical teaching aids, devices and simulators in the educational work.

Appointment of graduates by specialties (specializations) of training:

“Educational and social-psychological work in the units of the Land Forces”

a) primary positions:

  • Deputy company (battery) commander for moral and psychological support;
  • Battalion (division) psychological officer;
  • Commander of a mechanized platoon;
  • Commander of a grenade launcher platoon;
  • Sniper platoon commander;
  • Commander of a special platoon;

b) without any additional training:

  • officer of the department (division) of moral and psychological support of a military unit (formation);
  • company commander;

c) the following positions with additional training:

  • deputy commander of a battalion (division) for moral and psychological support;
  • Senior officer of the department (division) of moral and psychological support of a military unit (formation);
  • Chief of Staff of the battalion;
  • Deputy Battalion Commander;
  • a pedagogical worker.

“Conducting military bands (song and dance ensembles), orchestral wind and percussion instruments”

a) primary positions:

  • The head of the orchestra is a military conductor;

b) without any additional training:

  • Deputy Head of the Center for Military Musical Art;
  • Deputy Chief of the Model Demonstration Orchestra of the Armed Forces of Ukraine;
  • Deputy Chief of the Orchestra of the Honor Guard of the Armed Forces of Ukraine;

c) the following positions with additional training:

  • Deputy Head of the Military Music Department - Head of the Military Band Service Department of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine;
  • Head of the Center for Military Musical Art;
  • Head of the Exemplary Demonstration Orchestra of the Armed Forces of Ukraine;
  • Chief of the Orchestra of the Honor Guard of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

“Cultural, educational and leisure activities in the troops (forces)”

a) primary positions:

  • Head of the club of a military unit (formation) - leisure officer;
  • Head of the Garrison Culture and Leisure Center (Museum);
  • deputy commander of a company (battery) for moral and psychological support;
  • as specialists in moral and psychological support bodies, cultural and educational institutions, formations, and military units;
  • as specialists in the organization of supply, operation and repair of technical means of education of moral and psychological support bodies;

b) the following positions with additional training:

  • deputy commander of a battalion (division) for moral and psychological support;
  • officer of the department (division) of moral and psychological support of a military unit (formation);
  • a pedagogical worker.

1.2. The main functions of the Institute of Moral and Psychological Support:

1.2.1. Training of tactical officers for the Armed Forces and other military formations of Ukraine:

1.2.1.1. Bachelor's degree on the basis of complete general secondary education:

“Educational and social-psychological work in the units of the Army”;

“Conducting military bands (song and dance ensembles), orchestral wind and percussion instruments.”

“Cultural, educational and leisure activities in the troops (forces)”.

1.2.1.2. Master's degree on the basis of basic higher education in specializations:

“Cultural, educational and leisure activities in the troops (forces)”;

1.2.1.3. by the educational qualification level of “specialist” on the basis of basic higher education in specializations:

“Conducting military bands (song and dance ensembles), orchestral wind and percussion instruments.”

1.2.2. Organizing and conducting classes in the disciplines of the cycle of natural science training, humanitarian and socio-economic training, professional and practical training;

1.2.3. Organizing and conducting classes at advanced training courses for officers of military units (subdivisions).

1.2.4. The list of academic disciplines taught at the departments of the Institute is determined and specified by the annual order of the Head of the Academy on the assignment of academic disciplines to the relevant departments.

1.2.5. Additional functions of the Institute in organizing the work of graduate departments are:

  • coordination of the activities of all departments that provide professional training for cadets in the specialties and specializations of the Institute;
  • methodological support and development of proposals for professional programs, qualification and educational qualification characteristics, comprehensive qualification tasks for the institute's specialization; preparation of justifications for improving the variable part of educational and professional programs;
  • organizing internships and traineeships and protecting them in accordance with the established procedure;
  • organizing a systematic study of the work of graduates, the level of their theoretical and practical training; involving leading scientists, researchers and teachers with experience in the military to control the knowledge of cadets, and participate in the work of the State Examination Commission;
  • coordinating and ensuring the preparation of certification papers;
  • ensuring the preparation and conduct of state (comprehensive state) exams.

4. Organization of educational, upbringing and methodological work, scientific and technical activities of the Institute of Moral and Psychological Support

4.1. The activities of the Institute are carried out in accordance with the Plan-Calendar of the main activities of the Institute for the academic year, which is approved by the Head of the Academy. The plan-calendar of the main activities of the Institute is drawn up on the basis of the guiding documents that determine the content of training of military specialists for the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Plan of main activities of the National Army Academy for the academic year, the schedule-calendar of the Academy for the academic year, other annual plans of the Academy and provides for specific measures (performers, deadlines) to maintain combat readiness, educational, training and methodological work, scientific and scientific-technical activities, professional training, improvement of

4.2. The Institute's activities include:

  • direct provision of material resources to cadets through the relevant services of the National Academy in accordance with the norms;
  • maintaining the proper condition of all premises, material resources, weapons and military equipment; accounting and storage of weapons and ammunition in the Institute's units; organization and performance of internal service in the units;
  • individual training of permanent personnel;
  • ensuring combat and mobilization readiness of subordinate units;
  • education of personnel and maintenance of high military discipline; - organization and control of the educational process.

4.3. Main directions of the Institute's work:

  • development (annual updating) of educational and working curricula, structural and logical schemes for training military specialists (specialists, professionals), structural and logical schemes for the disciplines studied at the institute, and work plans for the year and month;
  • organization and control of educational work, cadets' progress, study of personal characteristics of each cadet;
  • maintaining constant communication with the academic staff of the departments, ensuring a personalized approach to the training and education of cadets and students;
  • conducting cadets' appraisals, with recommendations for improving professional growth and promotion;
  • organization and management of military internships for cadets;
  • conducting research work by academic staff, organizing military science societies for cadets;
  • organizing the departments of the institute to train cadets in training centers and training grounds, ensuring the quality of training tasks;
  • ensuring control over the organization of classes with cadets and the achievement of their educational and training objectives;
  • organization of independent training of cadets, its material support;
  • studying and analyzing official feedback on graduates, conclusions and recommendations of the State Examination Commissions, inspectoral (general) inspections, and taking measures to implement them;
  • organizing and conducting individual training classes for the permanent staff of the Institute;
  • organizing methodological training for permanent and variable staff;
  • development of educational and methodological materials for academic disciplines;
  • development and improvement of the educational and material base of the Institute's structural units;
  • organization of rationalization work;
  • selecting candidates for junior commanders;
  • Interaction with the professional selection group of the training department to further study the individual characteristics of cadets.
