Educational activities at the faculty are carried out in all specialties of military training in accordance with the requirements of the current legislation of Ukraine on education and educational and qualification requirements of customers: The State Program for the Development of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, orders and directives of the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Ministry of Education and Science.
Teaching of academic disciplines is based on the requirements and provisions of educational and qualification characteristics, educational and professional training programs for military specialists, taking into account current changes in the organizational and staffing structure of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and modern views on the use of units and units in armed conflicts.
Educational work at the faculty is conducted in the form of:
- all types of classes with cadets under the guidance of teachers (unit commanders);
- independent work of cadets on the educational material and provision of consultations by the teaching staff of the faculty departments;
- conducting practical classes at the International Peacekeeping and Security Center with cadets of all specializations and all courses of study;
- systematic monitoring of the cadets' mastery of the material studied by both the teaching staff of the departments and the faculty command.

The academic staff of all the departments of the faculty has been repeatedly recognized by the command of the National Academy for their high methodological skills. In particular, the Department of Tactics constantly presents the best practices in teaching cadets (demonstration classes, open classes) during visits to the National Academy by foreign delegations, official delegations of Ukrainian government agencies; also, during the academic year, the department was responsible for a number of demonstration classes for the National Academy's teaching staff.
