The methodological work of the department is aimed at continuous improvement of the professional skills of research and teaching staff, improving the quality of all types of classes, creating and improving the existing material and technical support for training sessions. The main tasks of the methodological work of the department are: - discussion of drafts of normative educational and methodological documents; - development of recommendations for improving the educational process; - creation of training classes in the disciplines of the department; - organization of a system for improving the pedagogical skills of young teachers; - search for ways to provide the educational process with methodological literature; - development of methodological recommendations for planning, organizing and controlling the independent work of students; - introduction of military training experience into the educational process. The methodological support of the educational process of the department consists of the developed curriculum programs for advanced training, teaching aids, guidelines for practical classes and independent work. Various forms of methodological work are used to improve the professional skills of academic staff: participation in educational and methodological meetings, scientific and methodological seminars, open, demonstration, instructional and methodological classes, individual self-education.
