Main directions of scientific activity of the department:
- development of the theory and research of forms and methods of training and employment of units (formations) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and their comprehensive support;
- study of the problems of philosophical analysis of society and the Armed Forces, protection of intellectual property, economic security of Ukraine and economic support of the Armed Forces;
- study of the problems of peacekeeping and international military cooperation;
- studying and researching the history of the formation of the Ukrainian state and its Armed Forces;
- understanding the nature of information warfare.

The department participates in the preparation and holding of scientific conferences, in particular, in the International Scientific Conference “Challenges of Security Policy: History and Modernity”. Lviv, June 16-18, 2016. The Department's faculty members are actively working on understanding complex scientific issues and have numerous publications both in Ukraine and abroad. The department has a scientific circle of the Scientific and Technical Center, which actively involves cadets. Cadets are also involved in the scientific work of the department. You can:
