In addition to teaching highly specialized technical disciplines, the Department of Electromechanics and Electronics provides teaching of disciplines that are directly designed to develop in-depth knowledge and skills in the field of modern computer technologies. For this purpose, the department has 3 computer centers equipped with modern powerful computers. In order to ensure increased reliability of functioning and information storage, all computers in these centers will be powered by uninterruptible power supplies. To meet communication needs, all computers are connected to an academic local area network. The computer center in room 322 has 30 computers and a multimedia projector with an interactive whiteboard. The computer center, which is located in room 331, has 31 computers and a multimedia projector with an interactive whiteboard. The computer center, located in room 333, has 10 computers and a multimedia projector. The use of multimedia projectors in conjunction with an interactive whiteboard during classes allows for the use of all the main sensory systems of the cadet - visual, auditory and kinesthetic (people tend to focus on their senses), which makes the educational process more successful. “Tell me and I'll forget. Show me and I will remember. Engage me and I will learn.” This Chinese proverb best characterizes the basic principle of conducting a class using an interactive whiteboard. With the help of specialized software, the department's computer centers offer classes in the following disciplines: ● “Informatics”, ● “Information Technologies”, ● “Fundamentals of Electronics and Elements of Automation”, ● “Mechatronics”, ● “Computer Technologies in Science and Education”, ● “Applied Software in Engineering”, ● “Applied Software”, ● “Fundamentals of Theory and Practice of Scientific Research”, ● “Fundamentals of Metrology and Electrical Measurements”, ● “Special Issues of Mathematical Description and Modeling of the Dynamics of Complex EMC”. The Moodle learning management system (Modular Object-Oriented Dynamic Learning Environment) is widely used in the educational process in computer centers. This system is characterized by both simplicity and ease of use, as well as wide opportunities. All disciplines taught at the department are represented in the Moodle system. The Moodle environment allows you to organize activity-based learning, which is based on the active interaction of all participants in the educational process. The achievements of the team of enthusiasts of the Department of Electromechanics and Electronics in the field of implementation of modern information technologies in the educational process and research have been repeatedly recognized by awards at both the academic and state levels. At the 6th International Exhibition “Modern Educational Institutions - 2015” The work done by the Head of the Department Shabatura Y.V. and Senior Lecturer Filimonov S.M. was awarded a diploma and a gold medal in the nomination “Development and Implementation of Modern Systems for Monitoring the Quality of Education”. And at the Seventh International Forum “Innovation in Modern Education”, which took place on October 20-22 in Kyiv, the National Army Academy named after Hetman Petro Sahaidachnyi was awarded the Diploma “For the active implementation of innovative technologies in the process of education and upbringing”, a significant contribution to which was made by the teaching staff of the Department of Electromechanics and Electronics.
