SCIENTIA VINCES!
On April 2, 2021, a Council of Young Scientists was established at the initiative of young scientists and with the full support of the leadership of the Hetman Petro Sahaidachnyi National Army Academy.
It is pleasant to note that this is the first Council of Young Scientists among higher military educational institutions of Ukraine. The Council consists of 30 young scientists from among officers, researchers, academic staff and the best cadets of the Academy.
The purpose of the Council is to intensify and comprehensively popularize science in the professional environment of young scientists of the Academy, to unite their efforts for professional scientific personal growth, and to engage in effective promotion of the latest scientific trends. The gender ratio is twenty men and ten women. The average age of the Council members is twenty-eight years.

Among us there are combatants and heroes of the Russian-Ukrainian war who cover their combat experience in their scientific works and teach cadets. Member of the Council of Young Scientists, Doctor of Philosophy, Major Volodymyr Hera was awarded the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytsky, III degree, the Minister of Defense's Badge of Honor, medals “For Defense of the Motherland”, “Ten Years of Diligent Service”, “ATO Participant”, “For Participation in the ATO”. The Council of Young Scientists is actively involved in popularizing youth science. Thus, four members of the Council took part in the All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference of Young Scientists, Associate Professors, Students, Cadets and Students “Youth Military Science”, which took place on April 23, 2021, at the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, and actively made presentations and joined the discussion.
The activities and membership in the Council are also educational in nature - they develop “soft skills” among the Council members, which helps them to interact and get along well in a team. In fact, during the organization of a particular scientific event, the members of the Council share the work among themselves, improving and developing communication skills and gaining experience in teamwork. Members of the Council learn to speak in public, acquire time management skills, and develop flexibility and leadership skills.
The Council of Young Scientists of the National Academy takes an active part in scientific events organized by other Councils of Young Scientists of Ukraine. One of these events was the scientific and practical seminar “Indicators of a scientist's publication activity: advice for those who are sure they know everything”, organized by the Council of Young Scientists at the Ministry of Education and Science, the Council of Young Scientists of the Dnipro Region and the Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs.
We actively cooperate with the Council of Young Scientists at the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. Mariana Verkhoturova is an associate member of the YSC at the Ministry of Education and Science. Members of our Council are regular listeners and participants in events organized by the Council of Young Scientists at the Ministry of Education and Science. On December 2, 2021, the Council of Young Scientists of the National Academy, together with the Council of Young Scientists of the Ivan Krypyakevych Institute of Ukrainian Studies, under the auspices of the Council of Young Scientists at the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, took part in a scientific and practical seminar “Popularization of the achievements of young scientists in the scientific space”.
With the constant support of Colonel Volodymyr Hrabchak, Deputy Head of the Academy for Scientific Work, the activities of the Council of Young Scientists of the National Academy are becoming a planned and coordinated process. The constant holding of professional international conferences, doctoral studies, two adjunct specialties, scientific professional bulletins, and the active work of the Military Scientific Society of Cadets have formed a favorable environment for the active work of young scientists.
The active support of the Council of Young Scientists by the Scientific and Organizational Department of the Academy and its head, Lieutenant Colonel Roman Nanivskyi, as well as the leadership of the faculties and the Institute, is an indisputable guarantee of the success of the Council's activities.
