Scientific, technological and innovative activities are aimed at:
- performing operational tasks, other activities related to obtaining new scientific results and scientific support for their practical implementation in the Armed Forces;
- organization of scientific work of cadets (students); - organization and creation of conditions for conducting research in the field of the department;
- development of scientific publications (monographs, encyclopedias and dictionaries, guides, textbooks, training and methodological manuals, dissertations, articles, reports, reports on the results of research at training sessions, reviews, feedback, conclusions);
- Participation in scientific and scientific-practical conferences of all levels, participation, organization and conduct of scientific-practical and scientific seminars in the field of the department; - Development of methodological recommendations; - Generalization and dissemination of best practices in the training and use of troops (forces) of the Armed Forces; - effective use of the creative potential of the department's research and teaching staff in solving urgent problems in the department's field of expertise; - supervision of the preparation of dissertations, reviewing, discussing the research presented at the department's meetings and interdepartmental seminars; - preparing reviews (feedback) on dissertations (dissertation abstracts) and scientific articles on the department's profile submitted to the National Academy; - proposing proposals for awarding academic titles of professor and associate professor (senior researcher) to the department's research and teaching staff;- conducting scientific research in the interests of ensuring the educational process on topical issues of military history (history of wars and military art, history of the development of weapons and military equipment, and the national army).
