The Department of Engineering Engineering was established in June 2012 in connection with the reduction of the Faculty of Military Training of Kamianets-Podilskyi National University. In June 2012, the Academy of Land Forces established the Faculty of Training of Specialists in Engineering and Radiation, Chemical and Biological Defense Forces, which was renamed the Faculty of Training of Specialists in Combat (Operational) Support in 2014, and in 2022 - the Faculty of Support Forces, which included the Department of Engineering. Colonel Volodymyr Ivanovych Kryvtsun was appointed Head of the Department of Engineering Technology, and he headed the department until September 2022. Since September 2022, the department has been headed by Colonel Viacheslav Yosypovych Nagachevskyi. The department was entrusted with the task of training specialists of engineering troops in the specialty “Arms and Military Equipment”, specialization “Arms and Equipment of Engineering Troops”, at the bachelor's and master's degree. At the moment, the Department of Engineering Technology is the most powerful department specializing in the training of officers of engineering troops.
