Educational work at the Department of Tactics of the Support Forces

Cadets are trained at the department in the specialty “Military Management (by types of the Armed Forces)”. The department is a graduate department in the specialization “Management of actions of engineering units of troops and forces”, and also conducts classes with cadets of all other specializations of the National Academy on engineering training, radiation, chemical and biological protection of troops, mine safety and countering improvised explosive devices. Particular attention is paid to the implementation of plans and programs of academic disciplines in the department's profile; training of cadets in accordance with the principles of use of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, state and industry standards of higher education, modern military art, experience of international peacekeeping operations and local armed conflicts; use of information technology and computer equipment during training sessions, etc.

The military personnel of the department gained combat experience in the Joint Forces Operation (ATO) and pass it on in teaching academic disciplines. Among them are Colonel D.A. Okipnyak, Lieutenant Colonel R.L. Kolos, Colonel R.V. Kazmirchuk, Colonel A.M. Baranov, Lieutenant Colonel Y.M. Baranov, Lieutenant Colonel A.V. Kuzmichev, Lieutenant Colonel P.O. Kolotelo, Lieutenant Colonel O.V. Brychynskyi, employee of the Armed Forces of Ukraine O.V. Neshchadin, employee of the Armed Forces of Ukraine O.O. Koroliov.

After graduation, the cadets are appointed to officer positions - platoon (company) commander of engineering troops, and after completing advanced training courses - head of the engineering service of the unit. The high level of officer training is confirmed by the Academy's receipt of positive feedback from the troops and the annual high competition for young people to enter this specialty. Graduates of military colleges, lyceums with enhanced military and physical training and young people who have completed secondary education and meet the requirements for military service are invited to study at the department.
