Scientific work at the Department of Ground Artillery

The main directions of scientific and technical activities (STA) of the Department of Ground Artillery of the Faculty of Missile Forces and Artillery of the Hetman Petro Sahaidachnyi National Army Academy (NASA) are determined in accordance with the requirements of the Order of the Minister of Defense of Ukraine No. 385 of 27.07.2016 “On Approval of the Regulation on the Organization of Scientific and Scientific and Technical Activities in the Armed Forces of Ukraine” (as amended), Order of the Minister of Defense of Ukraine No. 308 of 30.06. 2010 No. 338 “On Approval of the Regulation on Patent-Licensing, Inventive and Innovative Work in the Armed Forces of Ukraine”, Order of the Minister of Defense of Ukraine No. 654 of 01.11. 2005 “On Approval of the Instruction on the Procedure for Preparing for the Publication of Educational Literature and Scientific Publications in the Armed Forces of Ukraine”, Joint Order of the Minister of Defense of Ukraine and the Minister of Education and Science of 13.04.2005 No. 221/217 “On Approval of the Instruction on the Organization of Educational Activities in the Military Higher Education Institutions of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and Military Educational Units of Higher Education Institutions of Ukraine” and other guiding documents. Priority areas of research and development of scientific and teaching staff of the Department of Land Artillery: - scientific and scientific-technical research aimed at implementing the activities of the Strategic Defense Bulletin of Ukraine and the State Target Defense Program for the Development of Artillery Arms and Military Equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for the period up to 2023, other state target defense programs; - technical and functional improvement of artillery weapons and military equipment and their elements for ground artillery units of military units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine; - development and implementation of simulator, simulation and training and software systems for advanced training of personnel of ground artillery units of the military units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine; - scientific and methodological improvement of the educational process at the Department of Ground Artillery through the introduction of the latest scientific and technical developments obtained by the Department's research and development staff and developed on the basis of studying the combat experience of artillery units during the Russian-Ukrainian war. The scientific and scientific-technical activity of the Department of Land Artillery is aimed at conducting experimental research, carrying out rationalization and inventive work, preparing scientific articles and abstracts at conferences and seminars of various levels, publishing educational and methodological manuals based on the results of R&D, presenting and discussing the results obtained at international scientific and technical conferences and seminars organized by the National Air Force Academy, other higher education institutions and state research institutes of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, organizing t Based on the results of scientific and technical research, 12 researchers of the department took part in international scientific and practical conferences and scientific and practical seminars of various levels. The researchers of the Department of Ground Artillery take an active part in the implementation of operational tasks, on the basis of which they provide recommendations for the effective use of artillery units, artillery weapons, including foreign-made ones, in the russian-Ukrainian war.

Based on the results of the R&D, the scientific and pedagogical staff of the Department of Ground Artillery publishes scientific articles and abstracts at scientific conferences and seminars, textbooks and teaching aids, and implements rationalization proposals in the educational process. Thus, in 2022, the research staff of the Department of Land Artillery prepared and published - scientific articles - 4 of them: in professional journals - 2, included in the international scientometric database Scopus - 2; - abstracts at scientific conferences and seminars of various levels - 5; - teaching aids - 1; - developed and implemented rationalization proposals - 1. Cadets and students of advanced training courses from military units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are actively involved in the S&TD at the Department of Ground Artillery.

Based on the results of the research and development work conducted under the guidance of experienced researchers of the Department of Land Artillery, cadets and students of advanced training courses from military units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine publish scientific articles and theses, deliver presentations at scientific conferences and seminars, and prepare scientific papers for the All-Ukrainian competition of student research papers.
