The Department of Missile and Artillery Weapons is a military-technical department that teaches disciplines on the structure and operation of the entire range of missile and artillery weapons from mortars to missile systems for all specialties trained at the National Army Academy. The knowledge acquired by the cadets at the department is basic for their further mastery of the relevant specialty, because without knowledge of the structure, interaction of parts and mechanisms, and the principle of operation, it is impossible to effectively use modern high-tech weapons and military equipment. The department is taught by experienced research and teaching staff. 5 academic staff members have the degree of Candidate of Sciences, 3 have the academic title of Associate Professor. All academic staff of the department have experience in combat operations during the Anti-Terrorist Operation and the Joint Forces Operation.
