Main efforts of the scientific pedagogical staff of the department are aimed at organization of educational process, notably, mastering new information communicative technologies that are founded on wide use of up-to-date means of information and education. The staff uses subject-active approach to education which ensures formation of intellect and creative ability of cadets, and gives them an opportunity to gain profound knowledge. Teachers constantly use creative search of methods and means of education which could provide high mastering of curricular material, assist cadets in active development of their creative thinking, initiative and independent search of information. Now they have achieved correspondence of all types of classes with modern requirements of psychological pedagogical science, conditions of cooperation and pedagogical comfort. Innovation technologies of forms and methods of education are actively introduced into educational process. Control tasks are used during educational process. Personnel constantly improves instructional work which was examined in the system of raising scientific-theoretical and civilized level, psychological pedagogical training and professional skills of scientific pedagogical staff. The department trains cadets in the following directions, specialities and specializations: Direction: 6.160101 «Military control (according to armed services of the Ukrainian Armed Forces: the Army)» speciality «Control of operations of military engineering units and forces» specialization «Control of units operations of military engineering forces» Direction: 6.050502 «Engineering mechanics» speciality «Weapons and equipment of military engineering forces» specialization «Weapons and equipment maintenance of military engineering forces» Direction: 6.050502 «Engineering mechanics» speciality «Weapons and equipment of military engineering forces» specialization «Operation of electrotechnical means of military engineering forces» In addition it is possible to gain skills «Diver III class». Analyzing references from military units the graduates of the department are appointed to positions of commanders of engineering-pozitional, pontoon bridging, pontoon-landing, reconnaissance-diving, bridge-building, road-building, engineering-technical and engineering-camouflage units, who accomplish their tasks with credit, thus confirming a high level of training they have got at the department.
